The major difference between the application for European Plant Variety Rights and United States Plant Patent (U.S. PP) is the technical plant description the applicant has to provide.

 

​The technical plant description (USTECH) is a highly detailed plant description, which require live plants. For over 25 years, we have specialized ourselves in making these plant descriptions. Besides providing this for our own clients, we provide this service for third party companies who prepare U.S. PP applications for their clients. 

 

An accompanying set of photos is required for the technical plant description. These photos must clearly show several characteristics of the new cultivar. We can provide these photos for you as well.
